Major Developments in Rural Areas: Farmers to Get Four Times Market Rate for Land Acquisition
India is taking significant strides in rural development. Recent cabinet approvals have paved the way for substantial investments in key sectors, ensuring better living conditions and economic growth for rural inhabitants.
Infrastructure Development:
- Infrastructure Development: The government has approved a massive allocation of Rs. 33,985 crore for the development of irrigation, health, education, and road infrastructure in rural areas.
- Indokh-Rudhahera Micro Irrigation Project: A sum of Rs. 157 crore 14 lakh has been sanctioned for the implementation of the Indokh-Rudhahera Micro Irrigation Project.
Rehabilitation and Development Works:
- Chhindwara Irrigation Complex Project: The government has approved a special rehabilitation package of Rs. 969 crore to facilitate rehabilitation in the Chhindwara Irrigation Complex Project.
- Public Works Development: Rs. 25,164 crore has been allocated for various development works under the Public Works Department.
Social Welfare Schemes:
- Free Bicycle Distribution Scheme: The government has approved a sum of Rs. 2,190 crore 44 lakh for the distribution of free bicycles to students and the upgradation of educational institutions.
- Advanced Medical Services: Rs. 5,479 crore has been allocated for the enhancement of medical services in the state.
- Family Housing in Government Medical Colleges: The government has approved the establishment of family housing facilities in government medical colleges.

- Creation of Posts: Fifteen new posts have been created to facilitate the functions of the Sixth State Finance Commission.
