Bangalore Development Authority Set to Launch Over 4,000 Apartments Across Bengaluru
The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is gearing up to launch over 4,000 apartments across six housing projects in Bengaluru. According to BDA officials, these apartments will be sold within the next three years.
Key Locations and Development Details
- Electronics City: Home to a significant number of apartments in the upcoming projects.
- Konadasapura: The largest development is underway here, with nearly 2,000 apartments planned in Phase 1 alone.
- Kalathammanahalli: A key location for several of the BDA's ongoing housing projects.
- Kenchanapura: Another area where significant apartment developments are taking place.
Aim of the Move
The move, as per BDA officials, is aimed at addressing the growing housing demand in Bengaluru while optimising limited urban land.
BDA's Current Housing Inventory
BDA has sold roughly 65% of the 4,782 units launched in recent years, leaving about 1,910 properties in its active inventory.

- Total units constructed: 6,738
- Units already allotted: 4,358
- Remaining stock: Flats and villas
Details of Unsold Units
- Hunigere: 182 villas remain unsold out of 322 units offered through a mix of direct sale and e-auction.
- Kaniminike and Aluru: These projects have emerged as the strongest performers, with Kaniminike achieving 75.27% sales progress and Aluru close behind at 75.97%.
- Gunjuru: Has recorded 74.51% progress, with 459 of 616 units sold and 157 flats remaining.
- Thippasandra: Has reached 72.44%, with 226 of 312 units allotted and 86 still open for sale.
- Kommaghatta: Has seen comparatively moderate traction, with 52.80% progress and 808 flats remaining unsold.
- Hunnigere villas: Have witnessed slower demand, with only 140 of 322 units allotted, translating to 43.48% progress.
Projects with High Sales Progress
- Kaniminike: 75.27% sales progress, with 1,129 of 1,500 flats allotted and 371 units still available.
- Aluru: 75.97% sales progress, with 1,486 of 1,956 flats allotted. However, around 470 EWS flats at Aluru are currently under renovation.
