CometChat Raises $6.5 Million from Run Ventures, Total Funding Reaches $21.1 Million
CometChat, a Communications Platform-as-a-Service (CPaaS) firm founded by twins Anuj and Anant Garg, has secured $6.5 million in funding from Run Ventures. This latest investment brings the startup's total funding to $21.1 million.

Founded in 2010, CometChat is a Denver and Mumbai-based startup that provides enterprises with plug-and-play text, chat, video, and voice communication tools that can be easily integrated into their websites and apps.

Future Plans and Focus Areas
According to Anuj, CEO of CometChat, the company will focus on building proactive outbound intelligence, including AI agents that can track triggers such as restock alerts or refund delays and reach out to customers before issues escalate.
- Building multi-agent orchestration through a visual workflow builder to enable non-technical teams to manage specialized agents for tasks such as billing and scheduling
- Developing a customer intelligence layer to capture user preferences and deliver personalized interactions across channels like web, SMS, WhatsApp, and voice
- Extending existing infrastructure to power AI-led communication experiences
