Communist Party of India (Marxist) Escalates Criticism Against Himachal Pradesh Government
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has stepped up its attacks on the Himachal Pradesh government, accusing it of a deep-rooted network involving the real estate lobby, land mafias, and high-ranking officials.
- Acting Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta under scrutiny for alleged corruption ties
- Accusations of misuse of position to favor private builders and violating state land laws
- Illegal land deals and administrative orders retracted by the government and halted by the High Court
CPI(M) State Secretary Sanjay Chauhan slammed Gupta for exploiting his position, stating:
"Gupta's actions are a clear misuse of his position, favoring private builders and violating state land laws. His disproportionate asset accumulation is a testament to his alleged corruption."
The CPI(M) demands:
- Immediate removal of Acting Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta
- Judicial investigation into Gupta's alleged corruption ties
- Chief Minister's decisive action on stated anti-corruption promises under scrutiny
Protests are planned to intensify pressure on the government and push for concrete action against the alleged corruption.
