Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority Warns Homebuyers to Exercise Caution
The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRera) has issued an advisory for homebuyers to be cautious of potential fraud, delay, and litigation when purchasing a property in Uttar Pradesh, a state where property investments continue to rise. UPRera encourages buyers to leverage its online portal to make informed decisions by verifying the legitimacy and status of registered projects.
Steps to Verify Project Details on UPRERA Portal
- Step 1: Visit the UPRera Portal
- Step 2: Click on the Registered Projects Tab
- Step 3: Search by Project Name or Registration Number
- Step 4: View Project Details
- Step 5: View Promoter-Uploaded Information
Homebuyers can access the UPRera portal to verify the legitimacy and status of registered projects.
Buyers can search for registered projects by clicking on the Registered Projects tab on the UPRera portal.
Buyers can search for a project by either entering the project name or the registration (PRJ) number.
By clicking on the Blue Eye icon against the project name, buyers can view the project details page, which includes basic project information such as project start date, completion date, registration number, and promoter name.
Buyers can click on the project details to view all information uploaded by the promoter, including development details, project bank details, land details, and uploaded documents.
Quarterly Progress Reports (QPRs)
Promoters are required to update the progress of their projects on the portal by uploading Quarterly Progress Reports (QPRs). Buyers can check these QPRs to know the construction status of the project and how far the promoters have stuck to the said timeline.
