The Queen of Tears actor initially filed a ₩12 billion KRW damages lawsuit against Garosero Institute CEO Kim Se-Ui and is now said to be considering increasing the claim significantly. In a fresh development, the court partially approved a request filed by Kim Soo-Hyun’s side to freeze certain real estate assets owned by Kim Se-Ui. The YouTuber reportedly owns high-value apartments in Seoul’s Apgujeong and Seocho areas. Meanwhile, Kim Se-Ui has reportedly been detained after the Seoul Central District Court issued an arrest warrant, citing concerns over possible evidence destruction and flight risk in connection with multiple charges.

On May 26, the Seoul Central District Court reportedly issued an arrest warrant against the YouTuber Kim Se-Ui over allegations of spreading fabricated claims involving Kim Soo-Hyun through manipulated digital content. Authorities said the detention was necessary due to concerns about potential evidence tampering, obstruction of the investigation, and flight risk.
Investigators alleged that Kim Se-Ui circulated claims suggesting the actor had dated the late Kim Sae Ron while she was underage. Reports further claimed that AI-generated audio files and altered screenshots were used to support the accusations, which prosecutors believe severely harmed Soo-Hyun’s public image and professional reputation.
However, Kim Se-Ui strongly denied the allegations in court, insisting that the investigation was unfairly handled. The YouTuber also stated that he plans to file complaints against the police officials and prosecutors connected to the case.
