South Delhi Independent Floor Prices Soar by Up to 32%
The real estate market in South Delhi has witnessed a significant surge in prices of independent floors, with a rise of up to 32% in the January-March quarter, according to a report by Golden Growth Fund.
During this period, Category B colonies saw a price appreciation of 23-32%, while Category A areas recorded a 14-22% increase. The notable price ranges for these areas are:
- Category A areas: Rs 19.5-40 crore
- Category B areas: Rs 10.65-16.5 crore
A major trend observed in the market is the migration of buyers towards premium areas, which has strengthened demand. The persistence of high demand and limited supply suggests continued price resilience, as stated by Ankur Jalan, CEO of Golden Growth Fund.
It's worth noting that Delhi's Municipal Corporation designates colonies into eight categories, which affects tax and registration fees. This categorization plays a crucial role in shaping the real estate market in the region.
